We are happy to meet for a free consultation to determine how extensive your needs are and form a plan that suits you.
SPACE PLANNING
Sometimes, even a small change can make a huge difference to a troublesome area. Whether taking down walls or simply rearranging furniture, HMH helps find creative and practical solutions that keep your home or business running smoothly and efficiently.

COLOR CONSULTATION
Color, textures and lighting are noteworthy factors in every project; contact and coordination of these elements will directly affect the overall aesthetic of a space. Through color consulting, HMH helps clients establish an environment (create a mood) that supports their needs and reflects their personal style.
MATERIAL SELECTION
Flooring, Plumbing Fixtures, Cabinet Hardware, Millwork, Masonry and Lighting are just a few of the many choices to be made in a new build or remodel. Making sure all of these components look great and work well on their own but also flow seamlessly from room to room often becomes an overwhelming task that can bring any project to an indecisive stand-still.
We can help.
No matter the size of the project, HMH keeps in mind the overall style and purpose of the entire space. Clients will be thoughtfully guided through the decision-making process as we at HMH keep close attention to details, understand the products, and consider the anticipated aesthetic. The end goal is always a cohesive, well-integrated plan that looks and feels intentional.

STORY
Since childhood, Tricia (Mae) has enjoyed working on home improvement projects, arts and crafts, and music. She appreciates art and loves to create pieces for her own home (and even some of her clients). You can always find a history podcast "up next" in her library, and the highlight of her travels is experiencing other cultures, hearing their stories and seeing their diverse architectural styles.
Through education, experience and travel, Tricia has developed a sincere consideration for great design. Her passion for history, art and architecture bring authenticity to every project. Her design strengths are color theory, editing, and looking outside the box to problem solve. After independent design consulting for over 15 years, Tricia and her husband/partner, Kelly, officially opened Hygge Mae Home in 2017. The goal has been helping home and business owners overcome "design paralysis" and confidently create settings that express their taste and address their priorities.
In case you were wondering... Hygge Mae Home was founded on the Danish term "Hygge" {Hue-gah}, referring to a space that is functional, personal, and inviting. In our minds, this is real beauty. HMH advises clients on budget and all practical needs and helps ensure that the end product is a space unique to them... One they will actually love to be in.
A framed quote hangs in Tricia's home office:
"I will make everything around me beautiful. That will be my life."
For over twenty years, Hygge Mae Home has been delighted to create beautiful and functional spaces throughout the greater Salt Lake and Park City areas.
